I bet that you think about pleasing him not just ually but as partner in a relationship. That it is not just about you anymore but about the two of you. You two are already best of friends and that is one very essential key to marrying someone. Life is to short not to risk in life. So I say risk it and push your chips all in with this guy. Bad things will happen whether you are playing it safe or risking. To live life is to risk. My advice there is no rush keep it simple, take baby steps in being patient with each other, have fun, and be yourselves.
