How should I get donations for my political science club?

I figured I should write donation letters to law offices around the area of my university. But is that a bad idea?? What other businesses should I send donation letters to?? My club in Non-Partisan so we won't be able to get money from republican and democratic ociations in the area. People in college don't want to carry around candy bars to fund raise. so any ideas??
